The new HOA Executive Committee is looking for ways to reduce costs and save you money!
In the past, the HOA was paying $840 a year for a storage unit filled with holiday decorations, a pop-up tent, shelving units, pots, bins, a cooler, and thousands of HOA documents dating back 40 years. Over the past few weeks, our new Executive Committee vacated the storage unit. This will save $840 a year indefinitely!
Our Treasurer, Brian Johnson, spent dozens of hours sorting and scanning the important documents for our digital archive. You can find several decades of neighborhood newsletters (62 pages worth) that we uncovered on our website at this link: https://storage.googleapis.com/msgsndr/iYNnybpmM70dqc6pH8GV/media/64e819e415ec6027a4a18920.pdf
On 8/19, Bob Glasgow hosted a garage sale and sold the surplus items the HOA no longer needed. This allowed us to recover $347.50. The money will be used to help reduce some of the debt the HOA had incurred before the present board took over in June. All unsold items were donated to CSL, DAV, and ReStore.
The HOA retained the entrance decorations. Mike and Casey Peters offered to store them and will lead a decorating team this winter.
